My Top 3 Book Recommendations for the girlies
Dear Reader,
Reading to me, is so cathartic. I live through the characters; every time I finish a new book I change my entire personality. It seems, though, that society does not value reading as much as I would love them to do. I have hope though, especially for my readers (if you read my blog then of course you’re an intelligent person, because it’s my blog…duh). But, if you are having trouble finding good reads, then I got you. Here are a list of books and why I love them so damn much:
Frankenstein:
When I first picked up this book, I thought it was going to be a hard read, because it’s from the 1800s, and I assumed the language in all books from then would be hard to understand and overall boring. I could not be more wrong. This book was not only entertaining, it was also fun to read (to my surprise). I also thought that for my short-attention span brain the long sentences and descriptions within the book would bore me to death. But, the book was so fast paced that this characteristic within the book did not matter whatsoever to me. Overall, for Frankenstein, I give it a 10/10.

Catcher in the Rye:
Even if at times Holden, the protagonist annoyed the hell out of me with his actions, I couldn’t help but relate to how he felt throughout the book. Growing up is definitely not an easy task. It’s like you’re in a limbo between wanting to act like a child and needing to become an adult. These feelings are perfectly described through Holden. This is truly one of my favorite books, and to me, a tear-jerker. I think every teen should read this book at one point. I give this book a rating of 89237498/10. Yes, it’s that good.

Heap Earth Upon It:
I am not going to lie. This book was definitely a slow-burn moment, except not with romance. It was so gothic, and the narrators were unreliable. It had the aura of a mystery novel, but it was not as simple as one. It had cliff-hangers, but they weren’t annoying. It was long, but it was worth it. I give this book a 9.5 out of 10.
